John brings decades of business experience and an extensive background in small business and finance.
Prior to his career in business, John spent twenty years serving in the United States Navy. The principles of service, hard work and integrity developed during these years formed the foundation of his career. He transferred to a career in the financial sector, working for top firms including UBS, Bank of America and Prudential Financial. His focus on providing financial advice and counsel to small business owners gives him a unique insight. John went on to launch a successful retail skateboard company and concessions operation. Recognizing that success is not a one-way street, he spent 5 years giving back as a business educator working to inspire students in the USA, Kuwait and Azerbaijan. Since joining the real estate industry in 2017 he has committed himself to serving the hospitality industry as a commercial real estate agent, business broker and auctioneer.
John’s real-world experience is backed by his belief in lifelong learning. He has an MBA with an accounting emphasis, a Masters in Taxation as well as a Masters in Business Education. To further his development in the hospitality business, John completed certificate programs through Cornell University in Hospitality Real Estate and Asset Management and Hotel Revenue Management. He has also completed coursework at NYU in Hotel Investments, Analysis and Valuation and Hotel Real Estate Value Creation Strategies
